Divine Liturgy & Sacred Worship
English Service
We welcome English-speaking members with a simplified yet reverent service. While we maintain the core structure of the Divine Liturgy, we provide clear translations and English-based explanations to ensure all can participate.
Amharic Liturgy
Experience the fullness of our heritage. Our traditional services are conducted in Amharic, featuring the ancient liturgical chants, the Psalter, and the Holy Gospel readings as we prepare for the Divine Liturgy.
We gather in sacred space to honor the Divine Presence through traditional Ethiopian Orthodox liturgy. Our services are designed to be accessible and meaningful for all members, bridging generations through the preservation of ancient traditions.
Legacy of Faith
Our Patron: St. Gabriel - The Archangel of Good News
Named Debre Bisrat, or Mountain of Good News, our church is under the protection of St. Gabriel. He is God's chief messenger who announced the salvation of the world to the Virgin Mary.
In Ethiopian Orthodox tradition, St. Gabriel is the second-in-command of all angels. He is the peacemaker of creation. He is the deliverer from the fiery furnace. He is a constant intercessor for the needy.
As St. Gabriel brought good news and divine protection, our church is a sanctuary where ancient faith meets modern needs. We offer half Amharic and half English worship. We provide training for deacons and teachers. We are a peaceful rest from the stress of American life.
